Dare 2 Promise came into existence out of necessity!  A combination of talents; an understanding of human behavior & the understanding of construction and design, provide a unique perspective on home repair. 

On July 29, 2023, the CEO's house, Tamara Williams, caught on fire, and all of the content was totaled.  After careful research, she hired a large construction company to complete the work.  In the beginning, several assurances about design changes were promised, but once the contract was signed, the contractor ignored several requests to discuss revisions to the original design.  While waiting for the work to begin, Tamara and a friend, Lamont "Tee" Pettus began to organize and build storage for her shed.  Next, they added an attic to the garage, while no work was done on the house.  Each week the duo added more to their arsenal; removed and disposed of cabinetry, damage repair, and sheetrock and insulation installation.  Once friends saw the work, others asked if we could build & complete other small projects. 

After 20 weeks of minimal work being completed, “Tee”, a man of many construction talents, said “You don't have to go through this.  You and I can do this.  We can be the general contractors and rebuild your home.”

Tee's ability to build anything he can visualize made a home renovation company ideal.  Tee's project management skills, meticulous attention to detail while building cabinetry, painting skills, and more coupled with Tamara's professional counseling skills aid in relating to customers, without making this combination symbiotic.

To stop the financial bleeding of Tamara's rebuild,  Mr. Pettus & Ms. Williams dared to promise to take on an abandoned project of another contractor's work and see it to completion.  They dared to believe in Tee’s vision, ignoring the tragedy of the moment and found the impetus to start to Dare 2 Promise and made the dream of doing home renovations a REALITY.
